K&Co. Story: Charlene White

Perhaps best of all, we passed the (virtual) baton of encouragement around and took turns hoping on each other’s behalf…

Celebration Amidst Sadness

It’s totally possible, reasonable, and natural to experience seemingly competing emotions at the same time. You can be both joyful and sad. Remember the movie Inside Out? Joy realized that Riley didn’t just need to feel joy all the time, she needed sadness too and sadness helped Riley be more connected with who she truly was. So hear me when I say, you can have both.

Three Ways to Prioritize Rest

I needed to get away from this idea that rest is a reward for working hard. Rest isn’t a reward you or I get because we’ve worked hard enough or completed enough tasks or been productive enough. Rest isn’t a treat for doing enough. Rest isn’t optional or a bonus. It is needed and necessary.

Monthly Check-In Reflection – Nov 2020

Choosing and practicing gratitude didn’t mean that the hard days weren’t there or that bad things didn’t stop. Choosing gratitude didn’t mean I was naïve about circumstances or the world’s happenings. But it did mean that I could have a better perspective and not leave myself in despair for too long. I could be balanced.

Consider this your invitation to reflect along with us, coffee (or tea) in one hand and Kindred Planner (or journal) in the other.
